Berry, the German Shepherd who found fame as Padfoot, the animal form of Gary Oldman's character Sirius Black in "Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban" was given to the German Shepherd Dog Rescue charity after his stuntman owner Paul Thompson could no longer care for him.

With his job taking him away from home for longer periods of time, Thompson found he could no longer care for 10 year old Berry and his 13 year old companion Porridge.

As with many pet owners facing difficult times, Thompson said "I found myself spending a lot of time away from home. The dogs needed more attention than I could give. It was a difficult decision to make but one I had to accept was best for the dogs."
